Jan Skowronski

Jan Skowronski

Jan Skowronski, MD, MBA, FSCAI is an endovascular cardiologist and serves as the Director of Endovascular Therapies for CardioVascular Associates of the Southeast in Birmingham, Alabama.

He is the highest volume endovascular operator in the state, performing complex peripheral and coronary interventions.

He is the founder of Fortuna Devices Inc, actively bringing new CV devices to the market, focusing on safety and clinical success of endovascular procedures.

Over the years he has enrolled into multiple device trials, and frequently has trained other physicians as hands–on proctor in the US and Europe. He has served as faculty at major CV conferences on 4 continents and performed “live” cases in the US, Europe and in The Middle East. In 2020 he co-founded ICARUS – annual, international endovascular conference, moved to the US in 2024 as Pegasus Endovascular.

​Dr. Skowronski has worked in different roles for multiple CV device companies, CROs, and MedTech VC.

​He selfishly claims to be one of the best épée fencers in Alabama.

Bill Colone

Bill Colone

With over 40 years of experience with medical device development, Bill has a long history of
listening to what physicians and surgeons say is needed to help them and their patients.

Bill is an experienced medical device executive with expertise in investor presentations, fund raising,
building teams, product development, operations management, Class II and Class III Medical Device
clinical trials, and start-up organizations. He provides "Hands-On" experience with peripheral cardiovascular devices from concept through commercialization.

Bill was the CEO of Endomed and Spinal Singularity, as well as the Director of Operations for Endologix and the VP of Business Development for Direct Flow Medical.
 
He holds 13 US patents with many others pending.

Mark Vandlik

Mark is an International Executive with

30 + years experience in medical device product development.

 

Proficient in engineering & development

of catheter based devices, high-volume kits, and complex drug delivery and combination electro-mechanical devices.

 

Experienced in product innovation, component and system design, qualification, commercialization, and life cycle management.
